San Antonio Express Part 1
‘Goodnight’ book features S.A. landmarks

For more than six decades, children have read Margaret Wise Brown’s 1947 book “Goodnight Moon” and wished a good night to the moon, stars and noises everywhere.
Now San Antonio landmarks and attractions can be added to the list, thanks to Fort Worth author Jennifer Gaines Drez’s new children’s book, “Goodnight San Antonio.”
The 40-page book, illustrated by Fort Worth artist Lisa Carrington Voight, highlights places and things such as the Alamo, the Witte Museum, the Majestic Theatre, Kiddie Park, Fiesta and the Spurs.
“We tried to include things that have been staples for many generations,” Drez said. “San Antonio has so much culture and history. And it’s huge. You could live there your whole life and probably not understand the scope of the city.”
